R.C.I.A. (The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is the process by which interested people become members of the Roman Catholic Church. It is also for those who were unable to complete their Sacraments.

Life Issues

Only Trust Him

God knows your secret longings,
He knows your silent tears,
and even within the shadows
His hand is on your fears.

When your head is on the pillow
in the wee hours past midnight,
just trust that God is with you
somewhere within your room this night.

Watching, never sleeping
He tends your fragile care
and in the quiet hours a vigil keeping
He breathes for you a prayer.

Just trust Him for the answers
that a questioning heart can't give
for God holds your every tomorrow
knowing your each today is His.

Attention Parents of
First Communicants

Precious Keepsakes of First Communion 2003 are waiting to be picked up.

Pictures, Certificates and Banners may be picked up at St. Patrick's Rectory on weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. A pair of white gloves and a First Communion Prayer Book were also left behind with no identification. Please come for these as soon as possible.

A Worthy Cause

Please join the family and friends of Billy Yaeger at Silver Cross Field in Joliet at 7:00 p.m. on August 19 for a Jackhammers game. Tickets are $9.00 each, $2.00 of which will go to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation for research, hoping to find a cure for this chronic and debilitating disease, which claimed Billy's life at the age of 33. By joining us you can contribute to a very worthy cause and have a great time at the ballpark. For reservations, please call Barbara Trafton at 708-479-5835.

Our parish directories have arrived and will be distributed very soon to all who had their pictures taken.
