St. Patrick's Religious Education
Program Information

Our Philosophy

The philosophy underlying the activities of the Religious Education Office of St. Patrick's Parish is based on the idea that Religious Education is a continuing process, which strives to develop in each child, a mature and enlightened faith.

The Religious Education Program also strives to teach the message of Jesus, to build community and to be of service to others.

Our program is built on the premise, that the best formation of children will come about through the spiritual growth of their parent(s) in carrying out the task of the religious education of their children.

Our Objectives
  1. To aid our students in the formation of a healthy self-concept.
  2. To share our Catholic faith with each child through modeling, preparing them for the Sacraments, having them master prayers and actively participate in the Mass.
  3. To educate all children on the life of Jesus Christ and to proclaim His message to them.
  4. To provide students with experiences of community...
    1. To celebrate together the principle events of the liturgical year.
    2. To promote the participation in personal prayer and communal worship.
  5. To guide students into becoming active and aware members of the faith community.
  6. To guide students into commitments of Christian Service....
    1. To have the Corporal Works of Mercy become part of their daily lives.
    2. To promote Christian concern for issues of life, truth, respect and peace.
