St. Patrick's Religious Education
April/May Newsletter

May God bless you and keep you this Easter season and all throughout the year!!

Easter is the greatest feast on the Christian calendar. It is a day of celebration because it represents the fulfillment of our faith as Christians. St. Paul wrote that, unless Christ rose from the dead, our faith is in vain (1 Corinthians 15:17). Through his death, Christ saved mankind from bondage to sin, and he destroyed the hold that death has on all of us; but it is his resurrection that gives us the promise of new life, both in this world and the next.

Alleluia!!!!

Last Day Of Class

Our last day of class is on May 2, 2010. On our original calendar class was listed as beginning at 10:00 am and ending after the 11:30 am Mass and May Crowning. Since 11:30 am Masses no longer take place here at St. Patrick's we have moved class that day back to the regular time - 8:30 am until 9:45 am with Parish May Crowning taking place after the 10:00 am Mass. We are asking that the 8th Grade and the 2nd Grade take part in the May Crowning. The 8th Grade forms the honor guard and an 8th Grade girl crowns Mary. The 2nd Graders wear their First Communion outfits as they lead us to the Rosary Garden for the crowning. We would like to see as many families as possible attend this wonderful Catholic tradition honoring our blessed Mother.
